THE CUBA TEST
When Travel Reveals Everything
Six months into dating, we took what we now call "the ultimate compatibility test"—a six-day trip to Cuba. Looking back, it was either going to cement our relationship or reveal we were completely wrong for each other.
Cuba doesn't make anything easy. The language barriers (Lisa speaks no Spanish), the logistical challenges, the need to pack light and stay flexible—it all strips away pretense and shows you who someone really is under pressure.

Mario still laughs about the moment he knew we were going to make it: watching Lisa strategically pack her carry-on, navigate the airport independently, and handle every challenge with grace and humor.
